"With that, I would love to be a lifelong Packer. That's my take on that ... I'm really not looking at the market. I'm just focused on myself. I feel like I can play at a really high level and elite level for a very long time, so I'm just going to do what I can, and hopefully that leads to me being a Packer for life. That's my goal."A fifth-round pick of the Packers in 2017, Jones began his career as a part-time starter behind and but broke out in 2019 as the featured ball-carrier under new coach Matt LaFleur. The NFL's co-leader in rushing touchdowns with 16, he added three more scores as a receiver, totaling more than 1,500 yards from scrimmage. The year prior, Jones had nearly 1,000 yards from scrimmage, including 728 on the ground, despite starting just 12 games and opening the season with a two-game suspension.Jones is due to make $2.18 million in 2020.
