The Ravens' i sues stretched beyond Lamar Jackson in Sunday's AFC championship lo s to the Chiefs, but it's fair to say fans expected more from the presumed MVP with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. Just how much blame should be a signed to Jackson? Stephen A. Smith is a signing blame to Jackson, whether fair or not.History might show Jackson as a great quarterback who, like almost all other AFC signal-callers, wasn't able to dethrone Patrick Mahomes on the big stage, but it's no surprise Smith sees this performance as a ma sive letdown. Mahomes and the Chiefs were shut out for the entire second half, but Jackson and the Ravens were only able to score three points themselves and lost a scoring opportunity when Jackson threw an interception into triple coverage in the end zone.There were other complications outside of Jackson's control. Jackson hit Zay Flowers for the rookie's second explosive play of the day late in the third quarter, but Flowers' taunting penalty followed by a deflating fumble into the end zone halted all momentum the Ravens had. Still, just 10 points from a Ravens team that averaged 34.6 points per game at home when Jackson started this season was an all-around failure.MORE: Smith has been on both sides of the coin this season, first deciding that Jackson wasn't worth a ma sive contract before evidently changing his mind. Then, the ESPN analyst said he would take Jackson over Mahomes in the playoffs just three weeks after claiming there was no way he could pick Jackson over Mahomes in the playoffs.Lamar Jackson has had Stephen A.
